Montreal House Generator
Blender add-on · Procedural Montreal plexes, streets and districts
A Blender add-on that generates Montreal plexes: brick, spiral staircases, wrought-iron balconies, cornices, bay windows, mansards, green roofs, corner houses, dépanneurs and painted party walls, with the full street in front, the back alley behind, and entire districts. Everything is procedural, with no image textures.

Over a hundred parameters and nineteen presets, one per neighbourhood: Plateau, Mile End, Verdun, Pointe-Saint-Charles, NDG, Rosemont, Villeray, Hochelaga, Outremont, Westmount, Saint-Henri, Square Saint-Louis… Eighteen heritage paint palettes set cornice, sashes, doors and ironwork in one go. The facade follows composition rules: regular bays shared by every floor, symmetry, historical proportions.

Details are built piece by piece: six staircase types (straight, landing, S-curve, spiral, double spiral, under a porch), masonry arches with real mortar joints and keystones, cornices with brackets and dentils, mansard roofs and dormers, faded ghost signs on party walls, and adjustable weathering (grime, efflorescence, rust, moss).

Around the houses: the full street (sidewalks, street lights, maples in summer, autumn or winter, utility poles and wires, bins out on collection day) and the back alley (yards, fences, garages, sheds, Virginia creeper). A Blender curve becomes a street lined with houses, and the district generator lays out a street grid with back-to-back blocks of plexes and commercial arteries.

Ready for real-time: levels of detail switched by camera distance, glTF, FBX and USD export with baked textures, atlas UVs for lightmaps, and a Unity package that imports LOD Groups, colliders and URP or HDRP materials. Same seed and same settings give the same geometry, checked in CI.
